Trapped

This print is based on a face sculpted on a Baroque urn in the courtyard of a small chalet in Prague. It speaks of a dark emotional time or mood and refers to an inner place where we might feel trapped, a point in life where we might need to face something we struggle with yet and yet we know that we need to do just that, face it. Yet dark times and dark moods pass. Hope returns. This is why the face is pale yellow, the colour of pale light which will, eventually, overcome the dark. Please note: Minor variations are possible, as a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, and are what makes each print in the edition a ‘unique art piece’.
