Driftwood Madonna
$90.00 CAD
Shapes in driftwood. Do you see them? Do you imagine fantastical creatures and beings?
There was once, or maybe it’s there still, a large piece of driftwood propped against the tree trunk next to the entrance of a small cabin in the woods on Texada Island, BC. Sounds like a story but it’s true. I saw it. And each time I passed by, the words 'Our Lady of Peace' came to mind. And, really, if some people can see the face of Jesus in a piece of toast, why not a madonna in a piece of driftwood.
Please note: Minor variations are possible, as a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, and are what makes each print in the edition a ‘unique art piece’.
