Land of the Living Sky, Saskatchewan

In southern Saskatchewan you can drive down a bumpy country road, surrounded by rolling dipping fields, and not see another car for hours. Here and there, you might see a tumbling-down remnant of what was once a family farm, before big agri-business swallowed so many of them up. But the sky is incredible. The clouds are three-dimensional, suspended above and seemingly so close you swear you can roll down the window and grab hold. Every day a new show. Land of the Living Skies the locals call it and they couldn’t be more right.
