Spring Comes Like a Rose

Here, in the part of Canada where I live, the first colours of spring are not greens but reds. The red stems of the shrubs that fill the hillside create an illusion of a landscape wrapped in pink. This print is inspired by that landscape, here in the Kootenays of British Columbia. Minor variations are possible, as a result of the technique by which reduction prints are made, and are what makes each print in the edition a ‘unique art piece’.
