Kootenay Hillside, Spring

This work is, again, inspired by a trail close to home. In spring, once the snows are gone, the palette on this hillside is a mix of the pale browns of shrubs slowly coming into bud, the rust of last year’s fallen pine needles, and the fresh green of slowly emerging grass.
